Along the Algarve

This page has photos taken along the Algarve. Most people feel immediately at home, and of course you will be able to enjoy the benefit of warm sunny weather – the Algarve has over 3000 sunny hours a year with temperatures that usually seem to exceed the averages shown in the table below. In the Table below you may notice that winter months are warmer on average than many.

Alvor on the Algarve

Sun soaked Alvor on the Algarve has daily temperatures that vary from a pleasant Summer heat of +30°C to around 20°C in Winter along a 200Km Coastline with Beaches that change from Super Wide, White and Sandy to Craggy with Rocks and Caves. This is one of the world's best micro-climates - similar to California.

A little known small town near Tavira (that has recently spruced up its centre) called St. Luzia has a Restaurant serving the local Mayor, families, tourists and local business men - it does the most fantastic fish dishes.

In Vilamoura you will find the very best Marina on the Algarve with people and Restaurants to match - well worth a visit to perhaps take a boat trip and enjoy an ice cream.

If you like covered and open markets then Loule on a Saturday morning is among the best.

A top spot for young people is Albufeira - the Strip with night Clubs. Albufeira also has an old Town with great access to the beach and very good shops and Restaurants.

On the West side of Albufeira is a modern maria that has the most amazing colour decoration.

The last photos are other sights to be seen along and near the N125 road.
