Sun soaked Alvor on the Algarve has daily temperatures that vary from a pleasant Summer heat of +30°C to around 20°C in Winter along a 200Km Coastline with Beaches that change from Super Wide, White and Sandy to Craggy with Rocks and Caves. This is one of the world's best micro-climates - similar to California. Some have said Alvor is the St. Ives of Cornwall on the Algarve.
This Apartment has full Air Conditioning with 2 South facing Balconies. It is approaching 1000 sq. ft on a modern site called Dunas located in Estrada da Barca, Alvor on the Algarve. This wonderful Holiday complex has a good range of activities from outdoor Swimming and adjacent Tennis Courts to a wide range of Shops and Cafes around the Pool and Square. The Apartments are built in a low rise setting around the enormous, free form Outdoor Swimming pool, surrounded by Lush Gardens and a Tiled Square.
The Beach and Harbour with Promenade are just a 5 minute walk across a small Conservation area. In addition the Centre of Alvor - a delightful Fishing Village - is also a few minutes walk from the apartment. The Alto Golf Course is within easy reach and many more are only a short distance by car. In all there are 7 Golf Courses adjacent to Alvor with many others along the Algarve (see Golf page).
The Apartment has 2 Large Bedrooms (one with a walk-on Balcony) and a good sized Bathroom with a Shower. There is a generous sized Living area, with a Lounge and brand new Kitchen that opens onto a 2nd Balcony, overlooking the centre of a Tiled Square.
The Apartment is situated on the
1st floor above ground, with easy access to Lifts which will take
you down to the Underground Car Park where a Space, well out of the
sun, has been reserved for your personal use.
Alvor is a special Fishing Village
as you will soon discover.
It has managed to keep its essential character with Cobbled
Streets, Bars, Cafes and a New Promenade by the Harbour with many
attractive places to stop for a drink or to enjoy a meal.
And yet Alvor is within easy reach of the new motorway system that runs a few miles inland along most of the Algarve before crossing a Bridge into Spain - should you fancy a day or two exploring further afield. There is also a fast link from this motorway to Lisbon.
The journey from Faro – the main
International Airport – is less than 1 Hour by Road, or Alvor can
also be reached by Minibus or Bus/Taxi and local Train via Portimão, a
Major Town a
few miles along the coast.
